Flanking is still good options especially with Sneaky trait but other tactics are on par so pick what you prefer for your game style. We have new very good race traits and mechanics like Overwhelm Tactics, Defensive tactics or mass unit buff skills in close range that promotes keeping formations and makes formation a very viable option (just watch for AOE damage).

There is more space on the battlefields allowing for more maneuvers and for better unit placements as well as terrain utilization. It turned not so well as battles turned to chaotic flanking race with high casualties without enough time and motivation to use many skills as killing units was just more efficient.īut now in AoW4 this changed. Can someone from devs explain to me please why in AoW4 we still have army stack limited to 6 units like in AoW3? Why cannot we have 8 units army stack as it was in AoW1 and AoW2?
